Harrison

I've noticed that in the story's setting Earth's future has a tyrant in power. This tyrant makes a series of handicaps  putting humanity below her.  These impairments range from weighted sacks around the citizens' necks to masks to hide their faces.  Notably, this is supposed to make a perfectly equal society.  Unfortunately, as always, there is someone who's ideals are different and unrepressed.

I find myself asking ,"How did such a person come into power?".   I can understand wanting to make all people equal but that doesn't make the idea right.  I believe something major had to transpire before the tyrant Diana Moon Glampers came to power.  A probable war was on the horizon because humans are followers by nature and therefore would follow Diana.  A possible reason the tyrant's reign is still in power is because no citizen can match her at this point.  The enforced handicaps prevented the people from a military uprising.

Reclamation Period

In the town known as Dzhekson Vil', the modern day Jackson Ville Florida, a small bird perches itself on top of an oak tree with an extreme height. Amongst all the other forest animals that had gathered in the town. At this time 3910, Dzhekson is what is known to humans as a Reclamation. An area of land "reclaimed" by the wildlife near and on top of the land. Reclamations are devoid of humans because they were driven out during the process of reclaiming. For fear that the humans would once again sully the now cleansed territory.

In the midst of the town, the super oak is known as a Zelenyy Strazh. This tree one of many was given its name "Green Guardian" because always a distance from it thorns and other discouraging plants grow to keep the area virtually safe. A Zelenyy Strazh, often chosen as a gathering place for the animals’ meetings for keeping peace and discussing the various claims of territory because of its easiness to spot. Which is what is happening at the moment. Under the tree’s overenthusiastically green foliage, the animals of Dzhekson gathered to talk about the disappearance of the trees outside the town.

The City of Bones

The book City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, focuses mainly on a single character.  It is written in third person and  narrates the main character's thoughts and emotions to readers.  The author originally places the main character in an almost realistic society except for a few small differences. Clarissa is thrusts into to another-world dimension that exists on Earth.  This leads way to a plethora of observations from Clarissa towards her new surroundings.  This is an original way for the author to begin her book which creates an interesting beginning for the story.  This method appeals to my interest in the science fiction genre.

Dear 12 year old

Try not to procrastinate too much.  Because that can lead to forgetting stuff which defeats the whole purpose.  Which is to take care of or do something else within that timeframe.  A break if you will, that can really help to clear your mind or to help you to stay awake/sharp.  But sometimes your reason for procrastinating is forgotten and that's when trouble starts.
Most people will tell you to just get it over with from the start, I can agree with some but not all.  I guess it really just comes down to what it is and whats already on your plate.  And that's really your choices so not much I can encourage there.  Things will get more tiresome the longer you work on them.  Just make sure to go about your work your given with concentration most of the time.

Destin

Everyone was bursting with excitement, we had made lines leading up to the trailer to help loading up go by faster.  Voices and laughter filled the air. Today was the day we left for destin boot camp.  I still wasn't completely sure as to if this would be as fun as everyone said.  From what I've gathered were going to be doing a lot of work but after that its all good.  I believed them about the after the work part but would I even have enough energy afterwards, considering I didn't have the best stamina.  That day was particularly hot and having my heavy bags on my shoulders didn't help when I started to get on the verge of breaking into a sweat."Next", I hear someone at the front of the line call I shoulder off my bags and hand them to the person in front of me.  Now we were done, leaving my part in the line, the buses had gotten ready for departure within that time. Time to go I thought to myself.

House of Scorpions Response

In the Book house of Scorpions the main character Matteo Alacran.  The main character experiences cruelty upon another level because of what he is, and that can't be helped.  Repeatedly he's shown kindness to those who've harmed him and tried to make friends wherever he could.  But upon their discovery of his true race they show him malice.  The longer the book goes on the more I think its toward who he resembles, he's a splitting image of his father at a young age, who is widely hated for his line of work. And usually he forgives although there have been occasions when hes acted upon anger and retaliated without fear of being reprimanding.   This character's growth year by year isn't perfect such as his twisted emotions, and spells because of how he's treated he still strives.

21st century

Upon reading an article pertaining to the events of September 11th I realize it was more than just 1 but multiple attacks that were conspired that day.  These series of events lead to multiple occurrences.  First was Operation Enduring Freedom an American international effort to destroy Osama Bin Laden's terrorist network. In a matter of two months the US had taken it out of operational power.  Secondly was tracking down the mastermind himself.  Who was unheard of until May the second two thousand eleven.
Following those events a few changes have passed.  Such as airports and airplanes have different protocols.  The cockpit can only be unlocked form the inside, and more thorough searches.  Along with that immigration policy had been changed drastically, visas were hard to come by and even those who made it into the country were subject to  having their data collected.  And temporarily afterwards tourism in the USA wasn't so popular until a few years later.

World War Z

World War Z written by Max Brooks is a book that recounts the tales of few of the many survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Some who's past intertwine long before the virus and others during, some not at all.  Most of these interviews reviewed their many trials against the zombies for survival as citizens, or some were in branches of the military.  They all recount the losses they endured throughout the apocalypse.
The authors uses variations of point-of-view to engage the reader such as when a interviewee was recounting their experience they would always speak in first person, but when addressing the interviewer they'd be in third person.  The details were primarily inside the characters backstories because little or none was evident during the interviews unless addressing the interviewer directly to clarify something. Which added different details to each interview.
