Writing Center

Unfortunately, I did not  go to the writing center.  I had forgotten about scheduling an appointment because I was preoccupied.  My original rough draft was riddled with mistakes from beginning to end.  Thankfully the final draft has not been requested yet.  My revisions included reorganizing my original introduction and labeling my quotations.

To add to the fire my thesis statement was not on the proper guidelines necessary.  Along with the changes, I previously mentioned my formatting of the whole literary analysis needed revision.  Originally I was in a rush to complete my draft to turn it in so there were a lot of grammar problems.  All of these mistakes lead to me having to get a lot of help from a peer who fortunately put up with me.  In the end, I regret not going to the writing center because the trip would definitely have saved me from making so many mistakes.

Literary Analysis Update

So far my literary analysis is coming along nicely.  I've changed my thesis to a the regression of the human mind.  The resources I've used include The Lord of the Flies and canvas to help me write my analysis.  The thing that I'm struggling with most is gathering evidence that makes my thesis relevant.  The only thing I can think to recommend to my peers is to try reading through the whole chapter where you think the evidence you're looking for is at.

Using the method I suggested previously I found evidence that was also useful to supporting my thesis.  In my opinion, the hardest part of the Literary Analysis was thinking of a good thesis.  The complication of making a thesis paired with the rigorous requirements posed a problem for me. After receiving advice from an acquaintance I completed my draft almost with ease.  Whenever in doubt don't forget you are not the only person in the classroom.
