World War Z written by Max Brooks is a book that recounts the tales of few of the many survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Some who's past intertwine long before the virus and others during, some not at all. Most of these interviews reviewed their many trials against the zombies for survival as citizens, or some were in branches of the military. They all recount the losses they endured throughout the apocalypse.
The authors uses variations of point-of-view to engage the reader such as when a interviewee was recounting their experience they would always speak in first person, but when addressing the interviewer they'd be in third person. The details were primarily inside the characters backstories because little or none was evident during the interviews unless addressing the interviewer directly to clarify something. Which added different details to each interview.
Nice. I never read the book or watched the movie, but I'll try it out!
